The article presents the results of determining the relationship of rates of morbidity with temporal disability (the number of cases of temporal disability per 100 workers, the number of days of temporal disability per 100 workers, the average duration of a case of temporary disability) with the length of service of miners in the main professional groups (drilling rig operators and shaft sinkers) of the iron ore mining enterprise. Causal relationships were established on the basis of methods of mathematical analysis. In the professional group of drilling rig operators, an increase in the incidence of morbidity with temporal disability due to diseases of the musculoskeletal system and connective tissue with the increasing length of service in the profession was revealed; the contribution of the length of service factor in the development of diseases was 23 %. At the same time, there was a decrease in the incidence of morbidity with temporal disability from respiratory diseases and injuries and poisonings. There was also an increase in the incidence of morbidity with temporal disability for diseases of the musculoskeletal system and connective tissue and a decrease in the incidence of respiratory diseases and injuries and poisonings among shaft sinkers. The increase in morbidity rates for shaft sinkers with up to 10 years of service is also associated with diseases of the musculoskeletal system and connective tissue and injuries and poisonings. The ranges of distribution of morbidity rates for workers with up to 10 years of service had statistically significant differences in the number of cases of temporal disability per 100 workers for diseases of the musculoskeletal system and connective tissue among drilling rig operators and shaft sinkers. The morbidity rates for drilling rig operators are noticeably higher for this class of diseases. The analysis of the ranges of rates distribution of the average duration of temporal disability by class of injuries and poisonings in miners with up to 10 years of service showed that the differences in the rates are statistically significant for drilling rig operators and shaft sinkers.
One of the most common conditions in dentistry is herpetic stomatitis, caused by the herpes simplex virus type 1. Study purpose is the assessment of the therapeutic and preventive effect of the complex treat- ment of chronic herpetic stomatitis caused by herpes simplex virus type 1. The study included 100 patients with chronic herpetic stomatitis aged from 26 to 79 years. 50 patients received standard of care, and other 50 additionally received Thymalin, LeukinFeron, Stomat and blue-light irradiation of the lesion area. The study showed significant reduction in the duration of the active phase of the disease, increased duration of remission and reduction in the number of relapses. The proposed therapeutic complex is an important link in prevention of herpetic infection, which allows to significantly reduce both the number of individuals with active infection, and duration of contact of dental clinic staff with patients in whom virus is isolated from the saliva.
The fact that mechanisms and ways of transmission of new coronavirus infection and tuberculosis are similar, increases the risk of pathogens spread and determines common preventive approaches. The work aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of anti-epidemic measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19 among patients and medical personnel in the anti-tuberculosis hospital during the pandemic. With antituberculosis hospital specifics taken into account, a set of measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19 has been developed and implemented including identifying and isolating sources of infection, air disinfection and adequate ventilation, surface disinfection, using personal protective equipment. The article describes the group COVID-19 morbidity of patients in an anti-tuberculosis hospital as a result of a patient’s bringing the infection in. The patient turned out to have an incubation period Timely measures made it possible to localize the situation and prevent infection prevalence. The set of measures for medical personnel protection showed its high effectiveness since there were no cases of illness among the personnel working in the «red zone». The absence of consistent COVID-19 spread among patients and personnel in the R.G. Bauer Jalal-Abad Regional Centre for Tuberculosis Control allows using the described experience of conducting preventive and anti-epidemic measures in medical organizations of this kind.
В результате проведенных лабораторных исследований Приморская межобластная ветеринарная лаборатория Россельхознадзора подтвердила наличие ДНК вируса африканской чумы свиней (АЧС) в дикой природе и в личных подсобных хозяйствах на территории Приморского края. За весь 2019 г. было зарегистрировано 50 вспышек АЧС, хотя ранее край считался благополучным по АЧС. Ветеринарным специалистам Приморского края в апреле 2020 г. удалось ликвидировать все очаги африканской чумы свиней. Вместе с тем ближе к середине 2020 г. в Приморье произошли новые вспышки АЧС, которых к началу осени было зарегистрировано 45 случаев. Болезнь может возникать в любое время года. Источник возбудителя АЧС – больные и переболевшие свиньи. Так как вирус может распространяться не только с зараженными животными-вирусоносителями, включая и инкубационный период, но и через различные инфицированные объекты, то особую опасность представляют продукты убоя зараженных свиней (мясо, мясные изделия, сало, кровь, кости, шкуры и т. п.). Инфицированные вирусом пищевые и боенские отходы, используемые для кормления свиней без тщательной проварки, в большинстве случаев являлись причиной заражения свиней африканской чумой. Физические и юридические лица, являющиеся собственниками (владельцами) свиней, обязаны соблюдать профилактические мероприятия для предотвращения возникновения и распространения АЧС.

В 2021 г. исполняется 80 лет со дня рождения талантливого российского педагога и учёного Альберта Фёдоровича Буланова. В связи с этим полезно осмыслить сделанное им в науке, оценить его влияние на науку и общество.
Минобрнауки проводит серьёзную ротацию руководителей вузов, и этот процесс, судя по всему, будет продолжен.

Пандемия внесла серьёзные коррективы в форматы занятий студентов, обучающихся на двойных и совместных программах. По инициативе Общественной палаты РФ было проведено анкетирование проректоров по международному сотрудничеству ведущих российских вузов. Главным предметом опроса стало обучение иностранных студентов в условиях пандемии. Предлагалось оценить сложности в реализации двойных и совместных программ, возникшие в результате перехода на дистанционное обучение, готовность и необходимость принять иностранных студентов, возобновив для них очный формат занятий.
