An important task of branch medicine is a comprehensive assessment of the working conditions of workers in the leading sectors of the economy, as well as the determination of the impact of adverse production and non-production factors on the health of workers [1].
The Kemerovo region is characterized by a high level of development of the mining industry. At the same time, the working conditions of workers in this very industry are the most unfavorable, lead to the formation of morbidity, aggravate medical and social consequences, reduce the labor potential of society [2]. The prevalence of underground mining in the region causes the high relevance of preserving human resources problems in this industry [3].
Morbidity with temporal disability (MTD) is an important indicator that characterizes the health status of the able-bodied population. The structure and duration of MTD are shaped by a complex of socio-economic, biomedical, occupational, and other factors. One of the leading factors shaping the level of MTD is working conditions. A significant number of mining industry employees engaged in underground mining are exposed to adverse microclimate, ore-rock dust, industrial noise, general and local vibration arising during the operation of mining equipment and technological transport [4, 5]. Long-term studies conducted at mining enterprises have shown that the level of these factors often exceeds the hygienic standards, accompanied by a high risk of health disorders of workers, determining the high levels of branch morbidity [6–9]. It is shaped mainly by diseases of the circulatory system, digestive organs, respiratory organs, nervous and musculoskeletal systems [10, 11]. Besides, the complicated climatic and geographical conditions of the regions, long-term exposure to unfavorable factors, low level of medical and preventive care, ineffective methods of treatment and prevention are important factors influencing the health condition of miners [12, 13].
