The epidemiological characteristics of chronic hepatitis C in the Yaroslavl Oblast are presented. The dynamics of the incidence of chronic hepatitis C in the Yaroslavl Oblast throughout 2007-2017 shows a trend towards growth. The maximum indicator, which for the first time exceeds the average value for the Russian Federation, was registered in 2017 – it totaled to 43.19 per 100 thousand people. The most susceptible to this disease in 2017 were young people aged 20-39 years, the proportion of which in the number of newly identified patients was 50.2%. Significant contribution to the incidence of chronic hepatitis C is also made by older persons of working age - 40-59 years - 29.1%. When studying the intensity of the epidemic process of chronic hepatitis C in different age groups of the population, it has been found that the incidence rate among adults in young able-bodied age ranges from maximum of 30-39 years - 0.84 to a minimum of 0.43 per thousand people in 50-59 years. According to epidemiological surveillance data, the sexual route of transmission (46.2%) is predominant in the age group of 20-39 years among the specific transmission routes of chronic hepatitis C in different age groups of the population.
Questions of occupational tuberculosis diagnosed in health professionals during the period from 2000-2017 are discussed with the consideration of clinical forms, occupations and length of service (according to the Samara Regional Center for Occupational Diseases). Tuberculosis has 15.2% in the distribution of occupational morbidity among medical personnel. The infiltrative pulmonary tuberculosis predominates (67.1%) in the distribution of clinical forms. The greatest number of tuberculosis cases is found in health professionals with length of service up to 5 years. The greatest risk of occupational tuberculosis is among nursing staff (11.3%).
The article presents an overview of modern domestic and foreign literature on the problem of hygienic characteristics, clinical picture and diagnosis of pneumoconiosis. A historical review on the formation of the study on pneumoconiosis is given.
The results of a study of the quality of water supply sources in the villages of Fedorovsky district of the Saratov region on sanitary and chemical indicators are presented. It has been established that the quality of drinking water sources in some villages does not meet the requirements of sanitary regulations for turbidity, color, iron, stiffness and manganese content. The level of organoleptic risk in drinking water before and after purification is calculated. The efficiency of the local treatment plant «Raduga-M» was evaluated.
The effectiveness of preventive explanatory work in order to increase the satisfaction of citizens of the Republic of Tatarstan and reduce the number of appeals to the office of Rospotrebnadzor (Russian Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing) was assessed both in citizens and in business representatives.

The main stages of the information system implementation, the problems that arose during the implementation of the program complex and the hygienic prospects for optimizing the working conditions of the employees of the testing laboratory center are analyzed in detail.
