River control, low water level and irrational use of the water resources of the Volga River in the new century have led to the intensity mineralization of coast area and estuarine delta of the North Caspian. This fact opens a huge development prospect of the hypersaline aquaculture and mariculture, especially in the western and eastern parts of the delta, i. e. in the western ilmen lakes at the Astrakhan region.

For rational use of fodder ponds, as well as to improve indicators of hydrochemical studies have been conducted on joint rearing groups of bester and herbivorous fish. It is shown that the farming bester yearlings in polyculture with phytovorous fish had a positive impact on the growth and development of sturgeon. Fish productivity by Bester in ponds with herbivorous fish were on 5,08–of 5.31 t/ha higher than when grown bester in monoculture. In addition, cultivation in polyculture gives additional products in the amount of 5.7 to 6.7 kg/ha of herbivorous fish.

The article presents the analysis of the data for intensive rearing of carp fingerlings in three full-cycle fish farms — «VOLMA», «Sola» and «White», located on the territory of the Republic of Belarus. At the experimental fish farm «Beloe» in the application of high-intensity technology say the highest survival rate of fingerlings, which is associated with the stocking podbroshennye larvae, the greatest average linkage and fish productivity.

Food security is one of the priority tasks of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The solution to this problem is directly related to the diversifi cation of production, including the introduction in economic circulation of new, not previously used resources and production of new types of products. The total area of the fi sheries waters, without regard to the Caspian sea, is around 5 million ha. to date, However, the share of imports in domestic fi sh consumption in the country is 75%. Capacity of enterprises for processing of fi sh reaches 64 thousand tons per year, but they loaded less than half — 43%. To increase the self-suffi ciency of the population with fi sh is necessary to implement the policy of import substitution. The article analyzes the current state of production and demand in the industry, as well as defi ciencies and the need for educational and information resources of subjects of fi sheries. The data obtained will be applied to develop advanced training modules that best meet the queries of modern production.

The fl ow of fi sh products on the Moldovan market at the expense of objects of inland fi sheries, aquaculture and imports. The fi sh caught in natural waters, accounts for a minor share of the total local fi sh production: 0,3–0,5%. The main source of local fi sh production is freshwater aquaculture, the bulk of which today is pond aquaculture. Since 2000, the production of autochthonous fi sh produce in Moldova has increased 6.4 times, and has added up to more than 11,000 tons, or 33.4% of all fi sh and fi sh products consumed in the country. Overall year consumption of fi sh per capita has increased from 3.9 kg (2000) to 9.4 (2015), including the autochthonous fi sh products. Integration of researches in freshwater aquaculture through the collaboration of specialized research institutions, information exchange, joint projects’ development and their implementation is one of the links in the chain to ensure a reasonable management of aquatic ecosystems and food security, conservation of biodiversity of fi sheries facilities.

In recent years, world practice has shown a sharp surge in interest in collecting, breeding and growing a grape snail (Helix pomatia). This shellfi sh is a good object of integrated fi sh breeding technologies, successfully combining such properties as dietary meat, high-value caviar and snail waste, which are a valuable food and fertilizer in fi sh farming. In this paper, the main indicators characterizing the created herd of grape snail as distinguishable from others, uniform and stable are determined. These are size-weight criteria, fertility criteria, behavioral and functional.

A concept of risk analysis that includes a set of measures of their regular identification, assessment and management is recognized as the most efficient in the current practice of ensuring a ichtyopathological welfare of cultivating hydrobionts. The application of components of risk analysis, good practices and tracing enables to prevent an influence of reasonably anticipated hazards and minimize a probable damage. In the context of world aquaculture dynamic development an use of new approaches in the field of health protection of cultivation objects in artificial reproduction of water bioresources and production of commodities is of a great importance for Russian establishments.

Describes a new method of reproduction of populations of the stellate sturgeon and Baltic salmon. New essential features of the method of reproduction of the population really are that: the brood stock farmed fi sh species deposited in sea water with salinity of 3.07–8‰ before the onset of puberty manufacturers from naturally matured breeders with the seawater to 3.06‰ get mature sex products and produce fertilization of the eggs, larvae at emergence of signs of readiness for migration to the feeding grounds is placed in seawater and grown in the salinity range of 2.5–7‰ to durable stages. It allows to simplify the brood stocks content and manage growing juveniles.
