The evaluation of the full-value of feeding of cows by using biochemical method has been given in the article. It has been shown how to adjust rations with changing recipes of compound feeds and individual premixes. Balancing of the ration should be made with the input of the compound feed and with the inclusion in it of missing in the ration nutrients in the form of macro – and micronutrients. Trace elements should be input in the form of mineral and vitamin premix. In the composition of compound feed in the summer period it should be included: barley 16,92%, oat 36,46%, wheat bran 15,86%, pea meal 16,92%, sunflower meal 6,94%, tryptophan (L-Tryptophan) (98 per cent) 0,36% and sodium chloride 1,7%, DAP feed 3,84%, premix 1%. In the composition of 1% premix it is necessary to input the following elements: iodine – 152 g/t and vitamin D – 220 IU/t. During the autumn period: barley 20%, oat 35,5%, wheat 25,85%, pea meal 5,89%, rye 4,71%, protected protein 3,03%, feed lysine (98,5 per cent) 0,51%, feed methionine (98,5 per cent) 0,17%, tryptophan (L-Tryptophan) (98 per cent) 0,34%, sodium chloride 1,3%, feed precipitated phosphate 1,7%, premix 1%. In the composition of 1% premix it is necessary to input the following elements: copper – 301 g/t, zinc – 6,7 g/t, cobalt – 95 g/t, iodine – 136 g/t, vitamin D – 172 thousand IU/t.
