This article reveals the relevance of overcoming the difficulties that arise in the study of socio-psychological characteristics of various types of security. The reliability of the security system is associated with overcoming these difficulties. Analysis of practice shows that within the framework of everyday competence in the field of security, there are many errors associated with perception and reflection, i.e. the adequacy of repulsing threats and behaving in a dangerous situation. Professional competence in the field of ensuring various types of security is impossible without the availability of reliable information that allows for the prevention and elimination of potential threats. In this regard, it is necessary to increase everyday socio-psychological and professional competence in the field of diagnostics of the socio-psychological characteristics of various types of security as a basic condition for its provision.
The article examines the historical stages of migration, including forced migration, on the territory of present-day Azerbaijan. It was determined that a significant factor influencing the resettlement of large masses of people from one territory to another was the territorial encroachments of regional states against each other, resulting in wars and short-term conflicts, because of which the local population suffered. The forced resettlement of people was carried out in order to change the ethnic and demographic composition of the population, which subsequently affected the political structure and relations between peoples in the region.
The article discusses the issue of changing the structure and expanding the content of the reference and bibliographic apparatus of the library (RBA) in connection with the widespread use of electronic bibliographic sources. The instructions for bibliographic databases or traditional library catalogs, electronic media, and information resources as part of an electronic RBA are considered. The RBA composition is studied in accordance with modern requirements, and the resources that make up the RBA composition are also involved in the study. The experience of universal scientific libraries is analyzed.
Providing charitable assistance has a long tradition. Its origins date back to the times of Kievan Rus, namely, to the adoption of Christianity and gradual adaptation to new social and cultural conditions, where there is room for sensitive treatment to those in need and those for whom any help and support, both material and moral, is really important. With the development of society, in the Middle Ages, communities, for which this activity could be considered crucial, were engaged in charity. The article analyzes the social and charitable activities of Empress Maria Feodorovna, mentions the social and charitable activities of Empress Alexandra Feodorovna, and tells about the social and charitable activities of Princess Elizabeth Feodorovna. Thus, the authors described the social and charitable activities of the women of the imperial family and their significance in the present period.
Elderly people are at a significantly increased risk of severe illness after contracting COVID-19. It is logical that the measures of social isolation taken in our country were addressed primarily to the elderly (over 65 years of age). The provision of social assistance has been and is being carried out not only by state institutions of the social sphere, but also by public organizations and volunteer groups. In this article, the author presents the experience of the Republic of Bashkortostan in providing assistance to the most vulnerable categories of the population during the coronavirus pandemic. The scientific significance of the study lies in identifying the key areas of development of the process of providing social assistance to needy categories of citizens in the context of the coronavirus pandemic by public organizations. The author organized and conducted expert interviews with the representatives of the most active social movements and associations, which allowed identifying the features of and prospects for the development of the process of providing social assistance in the context of the coronavirus pandemic.
Domestic violence is primarily a social problem, which manifests itself in systematically repeated acts of physical, psychological, sexual, as well as economic impact on close ones (family members, cohabitants, former spouses), which is committed against their will, in order to gain power and control over them. A social work specialist is a key figure and a liaison between various structures in helping victims of domestic violence. To provide assistance to victims of domestic violence, the potential of social work technologies can be used, which implies the involvement of specialists of various profiles, as well as independent professional assistance and support to both individuals — victims of domestic violence, and the family in which this violence is manifested.
Traditionally, art therapy techniques are considered as tools for the psychologist’s work. However, in recent decades, art therapy has been used not only by psychologists, but also by social therapists, specialists in social work. In this article, the authors reveal the features of art therapy as a technique of social work with the elderly and the disabled in a residential care facility.
Over the past few decades, the number of people with disabilities has grown rapidly. According to the World Health Organization, more than 1 billion people in the world currently have some form of disability. This corresponds to about 15 % of the world's population, with up to 190 million (3.8 %) people aged 15 and over experiencing significant difficulties in functioning, often in need of medical and social services. There are many reasons contributing to such statistics. According to the data for 2021, the most common reasons for disability were cancer in adults, and mental and behavioral disorders in children. In connection with the current situation, the main task of states in the field of social support is to create conditions for equal participation of people with disabilities in public life. Often, the main obstacle to the realization of people with disabilities’ needs is the imperfection of urban infrastructure. The inability to leave your own home or visit a social institution gives rise to a number of problems with regards to the following: employment, obtaining medical and social services, purchasing essential goods, etc.
