Aerosols are small solid particles that are suspended in the atmosphere. In areas intended for housing of farm animals aerosols accumulate in large volumes (in places where cattle are located, feed storage, machinery placement, etc.).

The main theses presented at the 40th meeting of the intergovernmental Council for cooperation in the field of veterinary medicine of the CIS have been presented in the article. The meeting has been devoted to the development of joint measures to prevent and prevent the spread of foot-and-mouth disease for the period up to 2020 as well as drawing up a set of actions for the prevention and control of rabies, avian influenza and newcastle disease for the period up to 2025.

A general analysis of the current state of dairy cattle breeding has been provided in the article. Recommendations have been given for solving the main problems in the treatment of valuable and productive animals. Advanced developments have been presented in this work by a number of energy-metabolic agents that are unique in their composition and therapeutic and physiological properties. These compositions make it possible to ensure high health indicators of valuable dairy cattle at the already expected risk periods for pathophysiological conditions and pathobiochemical processes, thereby significantly reducing economic and environmental costs. The proposed tools are effective for correcting metabolism and preventing energy-deficient conditions in deep-bed and new-bodied cows, preventing rumen acidosis, metabolic ketoacidosis, and hepatosis during the lactation period; preventing hypomicroelementosis and iodine deficiency; preventing diseases of the distal extremities; preventing and treating gastrointestinal and respiratory diseases, immunodeficiency and metabolic disorders in calves and young animals.

The study of any animal in veterinary practice begins with dissecting corpses. However, such a way in Russian reality is not economically profi table and expedient: high digital technologies can be used to effectively study the internal organs of an animal. These include, for example, 3D models of internal organs. The scheme for creating such models is not so simple: first, the dissected body is scanned through a special 3D scanner, and then the created materials are placed on the network with additional materials attached to each object (including, for example, anamnesis, research data on a specific object). As a result of such a complex technological operation, the following happens: an ordinary medical student can use a TV or computer to study the animal’s organs. This significantly reduces the cost of universities to purchase animal corpses for autopsy, and contributes to the independent scientific development of students.

Animal disease often requires active medical intervention. However, this intervention is difficult: the animal is afraid of any touch. In this situation, the only way out is to use anesthesia. In practice, there are several types of anesthesia: local and general. Local anesthesia is used in cases of elimination of pain effects on the skin. General anesthesia is aimed at temporarily slowing down all processes inside the animal for high-quality medical intervention.

One of the most important values in increasing the productivity of animal husbandry is played by veterinary medicine and practice, which allow identifying, treating and preventing various diseases (non-infectious, infectious and invasive). Despite the high level of development of veterinary medicine in the world and in the Russian Federation in particular, there are still diseases that cause signifi cant damage to livestock farms.

Animals often suffer from infectious and non-infectious diseases. This disease can be triggered by technical injuries, poor-quality feed or an incorrect assessment of the animal’s health. Some owners of cows, goats, and dogs do not pay attention to their Pets for a long time. Only after the deterioration of the health of these people go to the doctor. The latter can only prescribe expensive treatment, including antibiotics and other medical means. In this case, the doctor must monitor the health of such an animal, which implies immediate correction of the situation, including, for example, the potential for changing the treatment if necessary. This adjustment, for example, occurred in a calf. He was diagnosed with dyspepsia. The doctor first prescribed “Baitril” in the muscle of 1.5 milliliters, B12–2 milliliters. But on the third day and on the sixth day, adverse signs were recorded. As a result, the doctor was forced to change the treatment: “Baitril” was canceled, the list of drugs included “Glucetin”, “Zitrex”, ASD-2, Helsivit. The result was positive, the animal recovered but time effort and money were spent significantly.

The effectiveness of agents containing different bacteriophages to fight infections in quail farming has been examined in the article. In order to conduct the experiment, 3 experimental groups have been formed. Healthy broiler quails of the Scandinavian breed were taken as experimental samples. Age was 45 days per 100 heads in each group. Quails have been fed by dry feed. The drug “Fagovet AVI” have been given in special vacuum drinkers at the rate of 3 ml per 7,4 liters of water 1 group – once, 2 group – three times after 48 hours, the control group – the drug was not given.

This study examined the dynamics of the immune response in adult horses and foals after vaccination aimed at preventing the development of leptospirosis. First, the condition of foals aged 2 to 4 months has been analyzed for the presence of antibodies to Leptospira in the blood (the result was negative). Antibodies in the blood serum have been detected only 6 months after vaccination – to serogroups of leptospires tarassovi and grippotyphosa. The animals have been revaccinated, and 22 % of the animals were found to have antibodies to leptospires 3 months after the revaccination at the age of 12–13 months. After 9 months after repeated vaccination, a positive result has been observed in 12 % of animals, and the year after repeated vaccination in 4 %. Similar studies have been conducted in another group, which included adult horses. It was possible to achieve a negative result for the presence of antibodies to leptospires the year after the animals were revaccinated.

Agriculture is constantly expanding production to meet the growing demand for food and raw materials. Animal husbandry workers and veterinary services are tasked not only to increase the volume, but also to ensure the quality of the products received. An analysis of cases of hypodermatosis in farms and localities in different regions of the Republic of Belarus has been presented in the study. The study has shown that not all localities are safe for this type of disease during the inspection of animals, cases of hypodermic larvae in the warbles have been established, and animal skins were also examined for the presence of larvae. As the treatment has been offered drug Aprinice presented in the form of solution for injection. The active substance of the drug, eprinomectin, has a wide range of antiparasitic effects on nematodes of the gastrointestinal tract and lungs. It has been proved that Aprinice is 100 % effective in bovine hypodermatosis and has no side effects.

As part of this research the effect of immunomodulators on the dynamics of antibody titers to E. coli, which is located in blood serum the calves after vaccination by the drug Kolivak has been studied. As a result of the study, it has been found that the use of immunomodulators during vaccination making the fight against colibacteriosis in calves increases the intensity of post-vaccination immunity by 97–93 %.

Numerous diseases faced by young animals provoke the need to take antibiotics. These drugs not only restore the body’s capabilities, but also have an adverse effect on the gastrointestinal tract. Restoration of the gastrointestinal tract is performed using various probiotics. They form a balanced microfl ora inside the body and help reduce internal dangerous bacteria. The most well-known probiotic in this sense is the probiotic Vetom 2, as well as Bacell.

Inflammatory reactions are common not only to human, but also to animals. Inflammation is usually understood as a reaction from both vessels and tissues due to the active introduction of bacteria and other objects inside. Infl ammation is usually accompanied by negative consequences (fever, redness, pain, and so on). Getting rid of inflammation is possible with the help of various drugs that are differentiated into steroid and non-steroidal. In practice, NSAIDs have the biggest use, since these funds have minimal contraindications and consequences (compared with similar drugs of the steroid group). In this case, the NSAIDs themselves are graded depending on the effectiveness of the treatment performed, on their impact on the body. The value of individual NSAIDs (for example, paracetamol) is minimal, since it only knocks down the temperature, but does not provide comprehensive treatment. For the correct choice of NSAIDs, the doctor must focus not only on the register of medicinal products formed by specialized executive authorities, but also on their own data.

The problems of the negative influence on the human body of irrational use of antibiotics in poultry farming have been highlighted in the article. Ways of solving the problem have being proposed by introducing a control system for the use of antimicrobial drugs in industrial poultry farming.

Helminthes diseases of farm animals have a real threat not only to diseased animals, but also to human. Detection of products infected with helminthes means that the seller will be brought to administrative responsibility by the Rosselkhoznadzor staff . Countering helminthic diseases involves a course of active treatment.
