Careful checking and adjusting high pressure injection pumps and injection control systems requires for optimum fuel consumption, increasing of diesel engine power and compliance with the rising requirements for exhaust emissions. The fuel injection start angle has a great infl uence on the toxicity of the diesel engine. Requirements GOST 10578-96 sets the allowable deviation between sections of the pump is not more than ±0,5° of the rotation angle of the camshaft. The existing methods of measurement of fuel feed start angles do not provide the necessary accuracy. On the basis of studies conducted in the Ryazan branch of the Federal state budgetary scientifi c institution "Federal scientifi c Agroengineering center VIM", using the upgraded test bench for the diagnostics and tuning of the fuel equipment KI 35478, justifi es an measuring automated method of the phase parameters of diesel engines high pressure fuel pumps, applicable for both new and upgrading test benches in the service organizations of the agroindustrial complex. Improving the measurement accuracy is performed by reducing the value of the angular motion of the pump shaft while adjusting the injection pump by the existing method. The microcontroller unit automatically registers the beginning of the pressure increase at the outlet of the injection pump section at the beginning of the fuel injection, and the moment of its reduction to the initial level at the end of the injection, fi xing the current values of the camshaft rotation angles. In the dynamic mode, it’s expected to increase the accuracy of measurement due to a decrease in fuel leakage because of changes in the hydraulic density of the plunger pairs during the operation of the fuel pump. The results of the pump test by the method for dynamic defi nition of angle of start of injection fuel injection pump section, consisting of recording angle end of injection fuel injection pump section with use of the low-pressure sensor during the rotation of the camshaft high pressure fuel pump fi rst, on the "go" spins, and then "against", show that the method can be the basis for the implementation of the method of measuring the phase parameters of diesel fuel injection equipment in dynamics.
