The article discusses the development of robotics, which opens up new opportunities for creating walking machines. Analyzed: two-legged machines, four-legged machines, six-legged machines. As the main stage, we determine the number of legs and the type of gait for the rescue robot, which will be able to navigate rough terrain and destroyed urban infrastructure. Based on the performed experiments, an analysis of gaits was made: alternating step, alternating tripod, slow «trot», bipedal gait.

A review of optical communication systems for the space industry is given, which is a promising direction in the development of communication systems for space technology. The advantages and development prospects are shown: they are superior to radio range systems in a number of key parameters, and the level of development of modern technology makes it possible to level out their design features.
Geometricians and ordinary people have always been interested in such a figure as a ball and its "shell" – a sphere. Many real objects in astronomy, physics, biology and other natural sciences have the shape of a ball. We meet with balloons every day. Also, the tasks for the sphere and the ball are found in the tasks for the unified state exam at school. This is the relevance of the research: it is very important to study the various properties of the presented figures for their correct and competent application in real life. The purpose of this work is to prove the effectiveness of the use of spherical surfaces in various spheres of human activity. The hypothesis of this work: in the manufacture of solar panels in the form of a sphere or spherical cells, the performance of such batteries will increase.
The article describes the essence of layer-by-layer sintering methods, advantages and disadvantages. Their applicability in the aviation industry is analyzed. A preliminary choice of an alternative method of obtaining workpieces for cup-type parts to lighten the weight of machine parts in the aviation industry is made.
