The article presents the advantages that can give a large-scale application of management systems based on IEC 61850, analyzes the reasons why digital control systems are not yet implemented everywhere and describes a way to overcome the obstacles to the introduction of such systems.
The article considers the examples of digital substations implementation in the existing power system in Russia and in the power systems of other countries. The advantages of the transition to digital signal transmission at all levels of substation management are determined. The factors constraining the spread of digital substations in Russia are revealed. The analysis of features of realization of digital substations on the basis of existing traditional substations is carried out. As an example, the section of the power system in Omsk containing two 110/10 kV and 35/10 kV step-down substations and connections between them is considered.
The algorithm and the program of calculation of specific active resistance of wires of air lines taking into account air temperature, an operating current, wind speed and solar radiation are developed. A quantitative assessment of the influence of load current, ambient temperature, solar radiation and wind speed on the active resistance of the wires of air lines. The results of calculation for AC wires are given. It is established that when calculating the power losses for wires without taking into account the temperature dependence of the resistance, the relative errors can reach 26% or more, which is not acceptable. Operational simulation of the wire temperature allows maximum use of the capacity of the overhead lines.
This article describes the most effective methods of monitoring the state of cable lines and the implementation of these methods in the monitoring system "KMK-500" (comprehensive monitoring of cable lines), which is designed for continuous diagnostic monitoring of the technical condition of medium and high voltage cable lines.
The article considers the use of alternative sources of electricity to eliminate overloads in the event of a shortage of electric capacity. The material also discusses in detail the possibilities of reducing the cost of electricity due to its own sources of generation.
