The paper presents a number of constructive considerations of conceptual and methodological plan concerning moral and civic formation of students-culturologists.

The paper is devoted to the consideration of the modern role of cultural institutions in the generation of new cultural values. The phenomenon of cultural values is analyzed, and its attributive characteristics are given, as is the phenomenon of a cultural institution. It is argued that cultural institutions produce values mainly for group consumption.
Methods of teaching Humanities in the University and the school must assume that modern man alone with virtual reality images, feels out of real events. In the artificially created images and models of man identifies himself with the heroes of this virtual world. All this can be taken into account in practice, for example, on a literary text. Experience pedagogic work proves the effectiveness of the use of modern technologies: cloud technologies, interactive technology educational appointments, educational Web technologies, in particular the thematic educational Web quests. Under Web quest technology we understand such a teaching technology that focuses on the creative use of Internet resources. Originally themed educational Web-quests are widely used in the practice of teaching mathematics, i.e. in the field of science. Today, however, actively used by humanitary.
The paper is devoted to the problem of formation of professional culture of future artists in the field of traditional applied art in the process of acquiring an independent experience of interaction with works of art in the space of permanent Museum exhibitions and temporary exhibitions. On the example of the exhibition "Christ in prison" the author analyzes the specificity and importance of the original exhibition techniques in creating a holistic view of the artistic and stylistic features and ideological and spiritual content of the monuments of traditional folk arts and crafts; describes the experience of students at the exhibition to identify and reveal its meanings; makes a reasonable conclusion about the essential role of extracurricular independent work in the training of a qualified specialist.
Current vocational education program is aimed at wide audience of specialists, among high professional education students, as well as professionals already working with cultural values. Program is focused on improvement of abilities regarding research of cultural values across the entire range that includes cultural values of museum objects, antiquities, manuscripts, collections, objects of cultural heritage (historical and cultural monuments), cultural programs and projects as phenomenon of cultural heritage. Program contains tasks for selftraining, research and creative activities, informational and reference materials, vocabulary and a list of referenced literature. These theoretical and practical materials discover main stages of examination of cultural value — attribution, technological research and estimation. Program is not limited to developing competency of experts in cultural field and can be utilized by appraisers of antique goods and specialists in state culture management.
The role of local history as local knowledge in the conceptualization of local text is considered on the example of the Crimean text. The peculiarity of local history as the unity of theory and practice is revealed at the junction of local history, art history and architecture research and journalistic investigations. At the same time, Semyon Bobrov and Alexander Pushkin are revealed as the main text-building pair of this text, and the myths of Taurida and Cimmeria become elements of the Challenge and Answer scheme. The book “The Memory of Pushkin in Gutsuf” by Alexander Bertier-Delagard is the current link between the epochs.
