Variants of execution of traction asynchronous electric motors (TED) and drives of electric locomotives of different classes are considered, depending on the placement of TED and gearbox on the frame and axle of the trolley. For TED, ratios are given to estimate the limiting parameters that should take into account the diameter of the armature, the length of the stator core, the linear load of the armature, taking into account the tipping moment, the relative magnitude of the inductive resistance of the short circuit and the conductivity of the scattering flows of the rotor and stator. The curves of limiting the limit values of specific power for various versions of the drive and TED are given, taking into account the limitations on electromagnetic power, heating, static stability, as well as the operability of bearing supports.
The paper considers the issue of maintaining the power supply (uninterrupted power supply) of electric receivers and ensuring the necessary battery life of powerful installations for safe shutdown of production. A block diagram of uninterruptible power supplies (UPS of static type) based on ionistors with a description of its operation has been developed. The comparison of technical and economic indicators with other types of UPS is given.

Based on lithium-ion batteries, the structures of modules and modular assemblies are described. A review of patent solutions for modules and modular assemblies of AB is carried out.
Research and modeling of a three-phase inverter with a key switching angle of 120 degrees. The main emphasis is on the principle of operation of the device, the selection of components and the thermal calculation, as well as the study of the possibility of modeling in a computer program.
