The article demonstrates that the Russian National Security Strategy righteously regards culture not only as something super-valuable, that unifi es the nation, shapes people’s souls and determines their uniqueness, as something that must be preserved but also as something that acts as a specifi c form of social regulation, has its own powerful potential for managing an individual and the society. Hence, the preservation of culture is shown to be a precondition of the national security of any country.
