The interpretation of concepts such as "elite", "mass", and "culture" is currently a pressing issue in science. This is due to the fact that in the mid-20th century, the term "cultural industry", coined by M. Horkheimer and T. Adorno, appeared in scientific discourse, reflecting changes occurring in the spiritual sphere. Mass culture played a decisive role in the formation and development of the culture industry phenomenon. This article presents a cultural analysis of the phenomenon of mass culture, drawing on the theoretical framework developed in the works of H.M. Enzensberger "The Consciousness Industry: Constituents of a Theory of the Media" and A. Toffler "The Third Wave". The author analyzes the changes that have occurred in culture, caused by massification, the influence of innovative technologies, and, as a consequence, the formation of the "industry of consciousness"
The article presents the main characteristics of three generic concepts: "human", "transhuman", and "posthuman", and highlights research positions on their definition in cultural and philosophical thought. It is shown that in cultural and philosophical scientific research, discussions are conducted about human nature and its essence, and these concepts that are not always separated are analyzed and substantiated which can lead to terminological confusion. In order to clearly distinguish between them and form the identifying characteristics of transhumans and posthumans, the article examines the main scientific research positions on their definition, as well as their essential features. The research methodology used is a systemic-cultural approach, as well as methods of generic-specific and comparative analysis, which allows systematizing these terms and identifying their specific characteristics. The materials in this article can be used in the educational process in the following areas: Psychology, Pedagogy, Philosophy, and Cultural Studies.
