Despite the importance of many social institutions developed by society and the state related to upbringing and education, the family, like no other institution, undertakes the natural, natural and social mission of shaping the personality of its child, its children, capable of becoming an active member of society and a citizen of their state in less than two decades of human life and state development. It should be noted that an important aspect of the formation of a modern family is the aspect of the legal regulation of family and marriage relations. Or, to put it more simply, it is a matter of official registration of marriages.
In the last few decades, the so-called «civil marriage» has entered into the daily lives of Russian citizens and has become quite firmly established. Civil marriage as a social phenomenon began to develop as a result of the transformation of social relations that took place in Russia in the nineties and are continuing at the present time.
They were caused by various factors, including those related to economic reasons, the increasing stratification of society in material terms, and the related need to protect property rights in a divorce situation. Socially, it is a relatively rapid development of joint relationships while at the same time objectively reducing the responsibility of the parties for the relationship.
It was they who began to influence the significant loss of popularity of the institution of official marriage, which was very high in the pre-transformation period at the turn of the century. In this regard, attention should be focused on the fact that such relationships, called civil marriage, which are not registered with the state registration authorities, are quite common in modern Russia.
