Biosphere-centric Model of Cultural and Natural Heritage as a Tool for Sustainable Development of Countries and the Planet: from Traditions to Innovations of the Digital Age

N.M. Garber PhD Candidate in Pedagogical Sciences, Member of the Section of Synthesis of Arts of the Creative Union of Artists of Russia, Laureate of the European Academy of Sciences Award, E-mail: ngarber@mail.ru

The UNESCO Convention Concerning the Protection of the World Cultural and Natural Heritage of 1972, ratified by the majority of countries of the Planet, is the first global document of humanity considering the noosphere of the cultural heritage of humanity as a continuation of Earth's biosphere. I built the components of the Convention according to Maslow's motivation levels and in accordance with the tasks of sustainable development of the Planet, turning it into an instrument of cultural diplomacy that ensures cooperation of the countries of the Planet in the productive development of the world ocean of cultures from traditions to innovations of the noosphere of the XXI century. Under the Eurasian approach, the article analyzes Spanish and Tibetan models of thinking when applied to the problem of sustainable development of cultural brands of the countries of the digital age. Based on the cultural parallel of “The Gypsies” by Pushkin and “Carmen” by Mérimée, an example of a conscious rethinking of the methods of Eurasian cultural geopolitics as an instrument of cooperation of cultures in the development of thinking for the sustainable development of the Planet is created. The article is illustrated with the author's internationally exhibited visual works created with the usage of artificial intelligence, demonstrating the innovative creative potential of cultural diplomacy in the digital age.

The UNESCO Convention Concerning the Protection of the World Cultural and Natural Heritage adopted in 1972, and ratified by the majority of countries of the Planet, is the first global document of humanity considering the noosphere of the cultural heritage of humanity as a continuation of Earth's biosphere. I suggest a biosphere-centric model of the Convention in accordance with the goals of sustainable development of the Planet for conscious shaping of cultural diplomacy of the digital age, ensuring the cooperation of Russia and other countries of the Planet in a productive evolution from traditions to innovations of the noosphere of the XXI century. I have structured the components of the UNESCO Convention from natural to cultural heritage within the cross-cutting objective of biosphere-centric development of countries of the Planet by Vernadsky to solve the issue of sustainable development of any of its territories. Sustainable development in its current format needs to take into account the historical cultural psychology and the current state of spiritual culture of nations, which are a significant and often unconscious factor of cross-cultural communication. Therefore I also set in the Convention the 7th goal of sustainable development of people, organizations and territories, adding notion of genius loci (genius of the place) concept of the Planet reflecting the interreligious origins of modern geopolitics and its innovative development potential in the digital age.

Hercules

It seems I have been resurrected.

I lived before. My name was Hercules.

I weighed at least a hundred tons,

By roots and all I tore up trees.

Stretched my hand and touched the skies.

When I sat down, I broke the chairs.

And then I died... And now I’m resurrected:

Of normal stature, normal weight —

Like other people. Kind and cheerful.
