Russia has a huge window of opportunity to attract foreign investors to sustainable development projects.
This was announced on Wednesday, September 29, by the Deputy Chairman of the Board of Gazprombank Elena Borisenko.
«Global funds that have accumulated huge funds for investments in sustainable development projects are interested in the emergence of open and understandable green projects,» she said during the plenary session of the Ecumene 2021 international congress, which is being held in Moscow with the support of the United Nations (UN).
The investment economy requires an appropriate investment policy of the state.
Foreign investor — a foreign legal entity whose civil legal capacity is determined in accordance with the legislation of the state in which it is established and which is entitled, in accordance with the legislation of the said state, to invest in the territory of the Russian Federation, with the exception of a foreign legal entity that is under the control of a citizen of the Russian Federation and (or) a Russian legal entity; a foreign organization that is not a legal entity, whose civil legal capacity is determined in accordance with the legislation of the state in which it is established, and which is entitled, in accordance with the legislation of the said state, to make investments in the territory of the Russian Federation, with the exception of a foreign organization that is not a legal entity and is located under the control of a citizen of the Russian Federation and (or) a Russian legal entity; a foreign citizen whose civil legal capacity and legal capacity are determined in accordance with the legislation of the state of his/her citizenship and who is entitled, in accordance with the legislation of the said state, to make investments in the territory of the Russian Federation, with the exception of a foreign citizen who also has citizenship of the Russian Federation; a stateless person who permanently resides outside the Russian Federation, whose civil legal capacity and legal capacity are determined in accordance with the legislation of the state of his permanent residence and who, in accordance with the legislation of the said state, is entitled to invest in the territory of the Russian Federation; an international organization that is entitled, in accordance with an international treaty of the Russian Federation, to invest in the territory of the Russian Federation; foreign states in accordance with the procedure determined by federal laws.
