Drug abuse is a medical, social, economic and legal problem. A high level of its prevalence proves the topicality of the research into this problem. Every year new narcotic drugs which increase mortality rate among young fertile people are registered. Not only addicted individuals suffer from health problems caused by the addiction, but also their families [6]. The presence of addicted people in the family increases the risk of development of behavior disorders of addicted character in succeeding generations on genetic level and in the form of environment factor, summing up the risks of development of this pathology. Character features of parents are highly significant for the development of interpersonal relationships in the family [2, 8]. The abovementioned defines the topicality of the research into the inherited and psychological components and interpersonal peculiarities of the addicted analysing the reasons of dysfunctional family relationships.
The goal of research: study psychological characteristics of the addicted individuals, analyse the influence of personality on marital status, develop principles of psycho correction to increase the level of addict’s socialization.
The following methods were used: psychological, clinic-genealogical, interviewing, statistical.
The research is conducted on the basis of Moscow Research and Practice Centre on Addictions.
Two groups of respondents were included into the research: people with addictive pathology and phenotypically healthy people. The average age of the inquired was 33. In the group there were patients with different forms of addicted behavior patterns: polydrug abuse (5), cannabinoid addiction (1), toxic substances addiction (1), opium addiction (5), alcoholism (8) The following psychological approaches were used in the research: “Ways of coping” by R. Lazarus, value test by Schwartz, Sixteen Personality Factor Questionnaire by R. Kettell. While interviewing family tree was drawn and marital status of the respondents was analysed. To illustrate the results of the research they are presented in the form of bar graphs and diagrams.
