This article examines the main foreign trade indicators of the United States of America over the past decade, analyzes the geographical and commodity structure of US foreign trade, identifies the main trading partners. Special attention is paid to the description of the unique role of this country as an issuer of the reserve world currency. The novelty of the article lies in the fact that it contains the latest statistical data of 2022. When writing the article, the statistical and mathematical method of scientific research was actively used.

The article analyzes the practice of customs control when applying temporary periodic customs declaration of goods. Russian commodity exports are analyzed in conditions of sharply changing external conditions. The analysis was carried out in general for the commodity structure and separately in the context of exports of fish and seafood by product groups and importing countries. The analysis showed that the structure did not undergo radical changes in 2022 compared to 2021. The concentration of exports in raw materials has increased. Total Russian exports have grown significantly, including the export of fish and seafood. However, there are a number of risk factors that can significantly influence changes in the structure and the fall in fish exports in 2023.
