The article presents an analysis of the presidential election campaign in 2018, identifi es innovations in the conduct of elections, and describes trends in elites in the electoral process in modern Russia. The authors consider the course and results of the presidential elections on March 18, 2018. The analysis of the correlation of the left, right and centrist moods of voters is carried out, selective priorities in the mood of the electorate are determined.

The article examines the process of infl uence of international public organizations on the political and sports environment, using the example of the activities of the International Olympic Committee. The author is convinced that the activities of the International Olympic Committee during the 2018 Olympics in Korea were of a political nature with regard to Russian athletes and the Russian Federation as a whole. A consistent chronological analysis is being made, adopted by the International Olympic Committee of sanctions against Russia.
This article, it is shown that state institutions in Russia, by inertia, continue to apply existing, non-fully adapted normative legal acts to nanotechnology that were developed without taking into account nanospecifi c data. Extremely insuffi ciently studied by the scientifi c community and the problems of legal regulation of nanotechnological development of Russian society and state, the development and introduction of nanomaterials.
The article analyzes the processes of formation and development of political parties as socio-political organizations. The main stages in the evolution of the organizational forms of parties in Western European democracies are revealed, and the present state of the institution of political parties is assessed, including in the context of the theory of party decline. The universal character of the development of parties in modern polities, the diversity of party types and functions are noted.
