This article analyzes ways to determine the energy efficiency of an asynchronous motor (AM) in connection with the introduction of EU, USA, Canada, Japan and Russia standards. AM studies and comparison of energy efficiency determined by various national standards were conducted. In addition, the energy efficiency of AM was compared with the efficiency classes defined by the EU standard.
