Assessment results of marking of children's toys by method of photorecording of samples, sold at various trading platforms of St. Petersburg city, are presented, followed by marking analysis and entry of results in the record protocol of accounting characteristics. The choice of sample toys for analysis was made in a random order. The received data were put in a database with the subsequent statistical manipulation. 140 samples of toys were analyzed, including 52 samples from large chain stores, 55 from small retail outlets, 33 from system of online shopping in China. It was found that 61% of all samples did not comply with the requirements of sanitary legislation in terms of marking, such as the absence of manufacture date, absence of a unified mark of product circulation on the market of the Member States of the Customs Union, absence of a toy life cycle or working life and others. Most of violations of marking per 100 samples was detected in samples with no information on the country of the manufacturer, samples produced in China are in the second place, samples produced in Russia, Belarus and other countries are on the third, fourth and fifth places respectively. Depending on the place of sales, the maximum number of marking violations per 100 samples of children's toys was found in samples sold in the system of online shopping in China, samples sold in small retail outlets are in the second place, the smallest number of violations detected in samples sold in large chain stores.
