Providing employees with personal protective equipment (PPE) is one of the elements of the occupational health and safety management system. The costs of large companies for the purchase of PPE amount to hundreds of millions of rubles. In this regard, companies seek to optimize costs by centralizing purchases and purchases of PPE at wholesale prices. When forming applications for the purchase of PPE, huge amounts of data are formed. As a result of centralized purchases, the purchase price of a unit of goods is reduced, but a number of problems arise when planning applications related to anthropometric data of employees. The article considers the problems and approaches when providing employees with personal leg protection (special footwear) on the example of PJSC RTK. The data on the delivery of shoes from the warehouse for 3 years are given. Diagrams of distribution of issued shoes in the form of a volumetric histogram by size and years were built. Attempts have been made to analyze the existing data array. Possible causes and indicators of incorrect PPE planning (provision) are formulated. The authors proposed approaches to optimizing the process of planning the need for personal protective equipment based on the data model of the size range of employees.

In case of spills of toxic technical liquids, especially in closed rooms, conditions are created for inhalation and transcutaneous intake of toxic substances into the body. When these liquids come into contact with the skin, toxic dermatitis occurs, up to the detachment of the epidermis.

The issues of automating the management processes of boiler equipment in order to ensure industrial safety during its operation are considered. The proposed measures make it possible to reduce the possibility of accidents and incidents by minimizing the influence of human reliability on the boiler equipment control processes. The measures discussed in the article increase the energy efficiency of boiler equipment.
The urgency of the problem of electromagnetic safety of employees in enterprises has been substantiated. The principles of occupational health and safety management, the main functions, tasks, principles for constructing an automated system for managing electromagnetic safety have been also outlined.
The purpose of our work was the veterinary and sanitary characteristics of beef with echinococcosis. The research has been conducted in 2019– 2020 in the Department of Epizootology, Parasitology, and Veterinary and Sanitary Expertise in the Chuvash State Agrarian University, the Chuvash Republican Veterinary Laboratory of the State Veterinary Service of the Chuvash Republic, the meat processing enterprise of the Chuvash Republic. The conducted organoleptic and biochemical studies of meat indicate that beef obtained from sick animals is inferior in quality of beef of healthy animals.
