The results of modern research on the main problems of the conditions and nature of labor, as well as the health status of medical workers are reviewed. The data in the publication indicate the adverse effects of the influence of harmful factors of the working environment and the labor process in medical activities. It is concluded that the problem of protecting the health of medical workers is currently highly relevant and its solution requires targeted, coordinated preventive actions by specialists in various fields.
