Every two years the city of Zhukovsky city in Moscow region welcomes the participants of major aviation show in the country — International Air-space saloon (MAKS). There is the famous ZHLIiDB - Zhukovsky aircraft testing and developing base located, which is often modestly called "Ramenskoe airport" - the main aircraft testing centre of Russia, with legendary concrete land way which saw off almost all of national aircraft in after-the-war history. Besides, here in "Lee" the pilot-testing institute after M.M. Gromov is located, along woth TCAGI branches and all aircraft DO of the country.
The next Moscow air-space saloon in general stays at high level and makes good impression. Lot of things to look at and many interesting people to talk to. One can find really new machines along with, so to say, long forgotten but still up-to-date old ones... Some of them can be remembered yet from previous shows, now they were launched the first time, and still - they are in advance of "world level"! But now the issue is different.

Right after the Great Patriotic War, in Y1946, many of designers were awarder Stalin awards for "remarkable inventions and key modernisation of production methods", better say - for good labour. Name of Larionov I.A., who had received Stalin award of the second degree. The award said: "for creating new type of aircraft engine". In 1944 he was awarder with Lenin Order. However it is useless to try to know exactly what did the engine look like and what kind of a "new type" it was. Chief designer of CDO-22 Larionov I.A. was not in charge of the aircraft engines and his input into the Victory was of a different kind.
