The article provides an overview of several typical problems of information security of critical infrastructure objects. The story is based on several real examples from the practice of setting up, operating and maintaining process automation systems in the electric power industry and the experience of designing, developing and implementing information security systems for technological segments of enterprises in different countries. The examples are described from a technical point of view with regard to the standards and methods used in the industry. Behind each of the examples given in the article is a real story of adjustment, implementation or study of an anomalous situation by the authors of the article. According to the authors, the imposed information security tools in production can, if used skillfully, help in detecting, and in some cases compensating for the shortcomings of control systems.
In article need of use of wireless digital transmission methods of data between separate components of a measuring information system is proved during tests of agricultural machinery: primary transformer — a measuring system; a measuring system — the computer. Need of the organization of a separate operations control room and control where the engineer-tester with the computer for calculation and display of the current indicators will be located is noted.
The short survey of different techniques of determination and measuring of traction induction motor stator winding temperature during its operation is presented. The long-term application of determination of temperature by equivalent thermal schemes is shown to have a number drawbacks among the sensorless techniques. The suggested determination of the stator winding temperature by means of periodically injected DC signal are discussed. The influence of dc signal on mechanical performance of the induction motor is evaluated, the technique of diminishing this influence is proposed.
The relevance of the study is due to the fact that at present there are requests from organizations for key skills of the future. They are reflected in the core skills models developed by various government agencies, consultin.companies and researchers. Changes in the business processes of organizations associated with the spread of new technologies, including automation, digitalization and greening of production, lead to the emergence of new requirements for workers. The gap between these requirements and available skills leads to skill gaps. The study identified the need for skill kits needed to fit these professions. The authors present two conceptual models of the skills of the future, which, in their opinion, most fully reflect the general directions of the development of organizations in the context of digitalization.
The article describes modern methods for ensuring the safe operation of technological installations of enterprises and related processes, by introducing industrial electric heating systems based on electric heating cables into their composition. Such systems are widely used in modern industry to protect equipment from freezing, maintain specified technological temperatures, ensure uninterrupted operation, and also to provide a comfortable and safe environment in enterprises reducing (the lost time injures rates by protecting of gutters, roofs and open areas from the negative effects of the environment, such as ice, icicles, snow drifts, etc.).
The material is devoted to the application of methods and tools of lean production at industrial and warehouse facilities and, in particular, the issue of using modern technologies in warehouses to reduce energy consumption costs and minimize the harmful contribution to the environment is considered.
