The article reviews fuel-free facilities to generate electricity, heat and cold, on the basis of pressure-reducing generator valves, where gas preheating is to be effected by low potential heat, using heat pump facilities. It is supposed that by increasing price for power transfer media, and first of all - for gas, the commercial criteria of fuel-free facilities, based on pressure-reducing generator valves and heat pumps, will allow to arrange their wide implementation in the industry.
Feasibility of using transformers with amorphous alloy core is justifi ed, in comparison to the transformers with traditional core of silicon steel. The schemes of the units for producing amorphous alloys via liquid quenching are reviewed. Comparison of averaged stand-by losses of power transformers with silicon steel core and those of amorphous alloy, displays that use of amorphous materials in the core, instead of traditional transformer steel, allows to reduce the stand-by losses by 4-5 times.
The model is proposed for consumed power distribution, which allows the possibility to determine optimum, from accuracy criterion standpoint, modes of power consumption for heat and hot water supply systems. The principle of power imbalance distribution, presented in the developed model, allows to distribute power imbalance in heat supply systems between supplier and consumer in the ratio, depending on accuracy of applied channels of power measurements. The research is directed at enhancing accuracy of measurements of consumed power and effi ciency of energy distribution in open systems of heat supply
The scientific backgrounds of physics-chemical diagnostics of high voltage oil-filled electric equipment with insulation of condenser type, are presented The new technical solutions on mastering high voltage oil-filled electric equipment, providing enhanced operational reliability of the equipment, are proposed. Theoretical backgrounds of diagnostics of high voltage current transformers and supply capacitors are designed on the basis of chromatographic analysis of gaseous products of insulation decomposition.
The necessity to develop interconnected analysis of reliability in gas supply and electric power systems for prospective development planning is justified. The system approach is proposed for assessment of balance reliability of electric power supply systems with consideration of reliable gas supply to the power plants. The system analysis of reliability of gas supply and balance reliability of electric power supply system in the Northern-West federal region has been conducted.
The article describes modern methods for ensuring the safe operation of technological installations of enterprises and related processes, by introducing industrial electric heating systems based on electric heating cables into their composition. Such systems are widely used in modern industry to protect equipment from freezing, maintain specified technological temperatures, ensure uninterrupted operation, and also to provide a comfortable and safe environment in enterprises reducing (the lost time injures rates by protecting of gutters, roofs and open areas from the negative effects of the environment, such as ice, icicles, snow drifts, etc.).
The article describes modern workwear for power engineers, which protects against the thermal risks of an electric arc and short-term exposure to an open flame. Experts of the Energocontract Group of Companies explain what fabrics are used today to create heatresistant sets, compare their advantages and disadvantages, and describe the protection mechanisms. Also, the material will talk about how the effectiveness of heat-resistant personal protective equipment is checked during tests, and what kind of protective clothing is required for power engineers in the autumn-winter period.
The results of used transformer oil regenerating after long service life are presented. Methods of transformer oil absorption cleaning are reviewed. Cleaning of transformer oil from various contaminants has been eff ected in experimental way, using developed ceramic membranes. Cleaned oil displayed high dielectric properties and duly complied with requirements of the standards.
