The article is devoted to the analysis of the influence of such risk factors as overweight, on the course of bronchial asthma in adolescents, with the establishment of specific features of the effect on individual evaluation and diagnostic indicators and bronchial obstruction. 112 adolescents with asthma were examined by anthropometry, spirometry, immuno-allergologic tests, bio-impedancemetry, and blood leptin. Negative parametric and non-parametric correlation was established between MEF50 and MEF 25, PEF, MEF 75, MEF 50, MEF25, and blood leptin (p < 0,05). In addition, lower values of spirometry parameters corresponded to higher leptin values, which showed an inversely proportional relationship between leptin and bronchial obstruction severity, since the higher the blood leptin level was, the lower the airway parameters were at different levels of the respiratory tract.
