The most important factor of failure-free and reliable operation of metallurgical machines is technical maintenance — in-time and good practice repairs. Resolution of the issue is not possible without conducting technical diagnostics and control of vibration parameters. However, due to their natural features, the regulations of general standards are not applicable to the metallurgical machines. The unicity of equipment requires individual approach to resolving issues of assessing technical condition of the individual mechanism.
Analysis of simulating systems of mechanical assembly production process systems has been conducted. Main systems of imitating simulation are reviewed, which can be used for assessment of functioning the automated production bays. The results of simulation using software products AnyLogic and Tecnomatix Plant Simulation are provided.

Error of blank positioning in bench centres for technological action is a part of total error. Value of this component in some cases of machining with enhanced requirements on part's accuracy is needed to be assessed quantitatively. Provided in the article the analysis of possible relative positions of technological system elements (blank-centre) will allow to make design scheme to define analytical dependency of the position error on manufacturing imperfections.
