The article examines and analyzes the impact of current economic sanctions, which are a key trend in the geopolitical influence of the collective West on undesirable countries. The legality, as well as the effectiveness of this institution, is highly controversial: in recent decades, no political system has been changed under the influence of sanctions, since civilians are more likely to suffer from them, rather than the ruling elites. The traditional response to sanctions is the development of mechanisms for countering sanctions, avoiding them, as well as technological import substitution. One of the mechanisms that can reduce the impact of sanctions on the domestic economy is anti–sanctions compliance, a method of countering sanctions based on the concept of risk management. Sanctions risks in this article are considered as the risks of imposing economic sanctions against a particular company or group of companies, and the ways to reduce them will depend on the type of sanctions, the product (service provided), the market segment, the policy of the domicile state and a number of other factors subject to regular monitoring by the internal structures of the company. Taking into account the particularly harsh sanctions imposed against Russia, the development of this tool is seen as an important and necessary area of research. The proposed measures can be applied in all regions of the Russian Federation in order to achieve the objectives of state development on time, in full and with minimal losses.
